Welcome to the second part of the guideline. We have decided to create a second part explaining how to cross-promote your Spotify stuff on other social networks. 

Especially in 2019, it's essential to have all types of sources of promotion. In the first part, we have explained all hidden tips and tricks that could ramp up your Spotify music. Today we would love to share with you the experience that we have been living for the last five years. We outlined only three primary sources of cross-promotion.

Cross-promotion on Facebook

Facebook has unlimited potential when it comes to promotion. You have heard Mark's famous quote -  "Senator, we run ads." Yes, Facebook is the biggest advertising platform while being the most significant social network around the globe. That's how Mark's making billions of dollars every day and getting more recognition daily.

Facebook is handy for every marketer because it's not limited to only Advertising. As we have mentioned above, there are unlimited opportunities to promote your music.

Promotion through Facebook Groups

Facebook has groups where like-minded people gather and share their ideas. For example, there are minimum 10,000 groups related to digital marketing. Those groups combine 10+ million Facebook users, and that's fantastic data. Imagine, there are millions of people on Facebook who love Rap, RnB, Rock, etc. 

What's your genre? Find out the groups related to your music genre. Ask for approval and start promoting your music. Don't act like a bot - be authentic and start conversations. Comment on other posts and give or ask for advice. That's how you stay real, and other Facebook users believe in you. 

Create a regular Facebook account

Regular Facebook accounts also have marketing power. It takes time, but it's powerful. Do you know that Facebook allows ordinary users to add a maximum of 5000 friends? It's an opportunity right here.

Start exploring music pages on Facebook and check people who engage on posts. Sent them friend requests and wait for acceptance. That way, you can have 5,000 friends in the end - those are highly targeted fans. Don't rush things and don't add all of them through 24-48 hours. Be patient and play your marketing cards slowly. Facebook does not like instant things; they may limit or delete your account. 

Facebook Advertisement

As marketing experts say, Facebook Ads is the most crucial tool for every business or brand. You can easily target more than a billion people around the globe. Facebook gives you options such as age, gender, location, etc. 

Two methods above are free, and you can do it without much knowledge. Facebook Ads platform is very structured and needs more experience than a regular marketer could have. It's a particular platform, so don't do it unless you know what's going on through Facebook ads dashboard.

Cross-promoting on YouTube

When you start the music journey, don't forget about YouTube. It's one of the biggest music platforms ever created. Yes, it's not a music-oriented system such as Spotify or SoundCloud, but music tracks & music videos have a significant place on YouTube.

Create a channel and post content regularly

First, you have to create an official YouTube channel and add content consistently. From the start, you can buy YouTube subscribers and make a shortcut to success. Don't limit yourself only with music tracks or music videos. Diversify your content - add different type of entertaining videos. You are already in the fascinating industry, so make each video powerful. 

YouTube's users love watching artists in a row type of videos. When you show your true self to people, they quickly fall in love with you. From the start, you need an engaged and loving fan base. So, start posting videos about your life, friends, family, the music behind the scenes, etc.

Check out other YouTube channels that are on the same boat as you. Understand what are they doing differently and copy their style. It's not wrong to copy ideas of videos - Q&A videos, Music advice videos, etc. 

You can invite your friends and play different games. Those videos can go viral. That's how growth marketers try to do work - virality is the key. You are not investing any money into the marketing but still going viral on the platform.

Collaboration with other artists on YouTube

Cimorelli is the band of six sisters from the US. They started with a small YouTube channel back in 2010. Today, they already have an album, lots of tracks and a popular YouTube channel. They travel on tours throughout the US and have fun. 

Cimorelli was doing the same thing - collaborating with other popular YouTubers. It does not have to be a music track; you can invite Youtubers on Q&A videos as well. You are not limited to any specific type of video. Just invite others and entertain people - that's the easiest way to get more attention.

Do covers of popular music tracks

Band Cimorelli is doing covers on literally every trendy music track. They get a minimum of 1 million views on each video. So, now you know that doing covers could be another viral opportunity for YouTube channel.

Cross-promoting on Forums

There are thousands of music forum through the World Wide Web. Just "Google" your music genre and add "forum" into that search query. The search engine will suggest you hundreds of specific genre forums.

Here you can open an account and engage with people on Forum. Ask for their opinion and share your Spotify track. 

Find the Administrator of the forum and ask for a banner price. Ask for specific data - how many people click on banner per month, its vital information. If it's worth buying (analyze price and data - people you may get from the banner), then order a banner for your Spotify channel and purchase space on Forum.
